Regional Commodity Manager

Job Objective

The Regional Commodity Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the regional commodity strategies, while ensuring optimal TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

Description Of Main Tasks

  • Lead team of cross-functional key stakeholders to achieve Commodity Strategy alignment while supporting flawless execution in a dynamic and faced paced environment
  • Identify and development new suppliers, new materials and new technologies as defined in the Commodity Strategy
  • Monitor and analyze the market and overall economic conditions to ensure that commodities are purchased at competitive prices.
  • Responsible for improving supplier relationships, engagement and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and operations to identify and execute cost savings to achieve budget target.
  • Lead the overall negotiations of supplier contracts.
  • Ensure supplier alignment and accountability with high standards in quality and delivery performance.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional purchasing experience in the automotive industry
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an international environment
  • Ability to successfully lead and facilitate cross-functional
  • Developed transversal leadership skills
  • Highly analytical with rapid decision-making ability
  • Advanced Negotiation skills
  • Strong Financial Acumen
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP and MS-Office (Excel and Powerpoint)
