Role Title: Product Engineering Intern

Job Objective
Support the design and development of automotive acoustic and thermal insulation components while gaining hands-on experience in product engineering, manufacturing processes, and cross‑functional collaboration within the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of automotive acoustic and thermal insulation components, including:
- Composite heat shields (aluminum & PET)
- Thermoformed fiberglass
- PET fibers, foams, shoddy
- 2D die-cut insulation parts
- Support CAD design activities, prototype development, Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE), and new product concepts
- Participate in project meetings and technical reviews with internal teams and, when applicable, customers
- Help execute and document product, process, and manufacturing feasibility studies
- Support product design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with APQP-related activities, including prototype testing, tooling development, and process trials
- Contribute to determining basic cycle times, workstation layouts, and work or assembly instructions
- Learn and apply engineering standards such as DFM, DFA, FMEA, GD&T, and basic APQP principles
Skills & Learning Opportunities
- Exposure to automotive product development processes and manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- CAD software (CATIA experience is a plus)
- APQP and PPAP fundamentals
- Product and process feasibility evaluations

Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Completion of at least sophomore year preferred
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing concepts
- Familiarity with CAD software (CATIA or similar preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently as well as in a team
Language Requirements
- English: Proficient (B2–C1 level)
- Local language: Proficient (B2–C1 level)
