Job Objective
Optimal usage of personnel, materials and production area to succeed in achieving company's goals while following environmental and occupational safety regulations. Responsibility for quality, supplier's reliability, personnel, productivity, budget and the assignment for increasing the production departments performance according to agreed KPI's and lean projects.
Description of Main Tasks
- Strategic orientation of the plant, including intermediate and short term optimization and efficiency increase.
- Leadership including the functional and personal development of the plant's team (oversee key hiring and talent development programs, communicate strategy and results to the unit's employees).
- Management of the plant's performance by using KPI's including identification, implementation and monitoring of correcting actions.
- Assuring a smooth product manufacturing and implementation of client requirements related to time/quality/cost.
- Responsibility for the adherence of legal, regulatory or company related guidelines within the plant.
- Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.
- Engage in key or targeted customer activities.
- Engage with supporting functions of the Group on daily and long term aspects.
- Actively support the acquisition and ensure that the factory has a high utilization rate on all existing machinery for securing a sustainable profitability.
Additional Tasks
- Acting within the legal framework as General Manager.
- The General Manager represents his legal entity. All authorizations of him becoming binding for the legal entity, Therefore the General Manager has to know the reserved matters and the compliance rules of the company.
Skills & Competencies
- Graduation in Business Management or Engineering.
- More than 7 years of work experience in an industrial company within the automotive sector.
- About 3-6 years professional experience in an international environment.
- Several years of management experience as a manager of complex teams.
- Profound experience in conducting workshops including the usage of moderation-tools (agenda, time management, etc), sturdy rhetorical presentation skills.
- Proactive personality and problem solving manner.
- Knowledge in SAP and MS Office are advanced, independent user skills.
- English language on B1-B2 level (person is able to express himself/herself spontaneously and precisely).
- Local language in C1-C2 level (the expert- nearly native language knowledge; is able to express himself/herself spontaneously, fluently and precisely).
